Currently, De Los Santos is in pre-production with Producer Carolyn Caldera DeFanti, of Caldera DeFanti Entertainment, to direct her first feature, based on her romantic comedy screenplay, The Answer to My Prayer. The script was selected for HBO's New Writers' Festival, and developed at the prestigious "Equinoxe International Screenplay Workshop" held in Bordeaux, France. It's the story of a young woman who receives a special prayer from her grandmother, that guarantees she'll find the love of her life.

 
Screenplays written by De Los Santos include:

The Treasure of Isla Piedra Negra, is an adaptation of the young adult novel Tides of Danger. Set in pre-revolution Mexico, it’s the story of a young brother and sister’s journey to save their family from a lifetime of being peons.
 


Furlough, a contemporary Thelma and Louise, tells the story of a young woman wronged by her boyfriend. Girl goes to prison. Girl gets three-day furlough from prison. Girl goes looking for revenge. Based on an almost true story.
 

North to Paris is a romantic adventure set in Alaska. A Los Angeles native moves to Alaska to work on a fishing factory boat in order to save money to move to Paris. She finds she’s the only Black woman in the whole state – or so it seems – and also finds a mission, and love.

The Jaguar, a romantic drama, based on a true story of one of the first female coyotes on the US/Mexican border. Based in Tijuana, The Jaguar crosses only women and children.  When she falls in love with a US Journalist, she’s asked to bring his long-lost lover across the border. A modern day Casablanca.
 

Chicano, with Tomas Benitez, an adaptation of the epic novel, Chicano, by Richard Vasquez for producer Sylvia Vasquez.
 

The Texas Boys, with Tomas Benitez. Based on the true story of the first Mexican American attorneys to present a case before the U.S. Supreme Court. Set in 1950s Texas, early civil rights attorneys Gus Garcia and Carlos Cadena, fought the KKK, the Texas Rangers, and our country’s legal system – helping to change  the manner in which Mexican Americans would be treated in the court system from then on.
